All  Shacharit minyanim will begin with Barachu. The minyanim will have no communal singing or sermons except 15 minutes of learning between Mincha and Maariv on Saturday.  These minyanim, like the other minyanim, will have a limited number of spaces and will only be open to those who pre-register on a first come first serve basis. Shabbat minyanim sign ups will be closed at 9:00pm Thursday night.

Please carefully read the minyan guidelines below and go to the link at the end of the guidelines to sign up.

As indicated in prior communications, even now, the choice to daven at home is a perfectly acceptable (and, indeed, may be a preferable) position from a halachik point of view. Anyone who has any hesitation about attending minyan at the present time is encouraged to continue davening at home.

COVID  Minyanim Guidelines

  • Advance sign up for minyanim is mandatory. The shul may deny entry to those who have not signed up.
  • Each minyan will have a maximum registration limit of participants. In the event registration for minyan reaches the person limit, you may sign up on the waitlist for that minyan and if the groupings of registrants for that particular minyan are such (IE. family members sitting together) that allows us to increase participants, we will release those extra spaces to those on the waitlist.
  • On Shabbat morning access to shul building will be limited to necessary use of the bathroom. Only single use bathrooms (located by the Morseland Ave entrance) will be available. Shul maintenance staff will provide access to the building and disinfect after each use. Friday and Shabbat afternoon there will be no access to the building.
  • Social distancing of at least 6 feet between participants should be maintained at all times including entering and exiting the space.
  • Participants should not shake hands or otherwise engage in physical contact of any kind.
  • All participants are expected to wear face masks that fully cover the nose and mouth at all times
  • Children who can remain seated next to a parent for the entire davening  may attend if signed up by their parents. Social distancing includes not playing outside or running around the shul grounds.
  • Children above the age of Bar and Bat Mitzva who attend together with a parent, should also be seated next to their parent for the entire davening.
  • No communal singing
  • Shacharit will begin with Barachu. Arriving punctually is critical to the smooth running of the minyanim. Participants should recite Pesukei Dzimra at home.
  • The Torah should not be kissed by anyone.
  • The Baal Koreh should be the only one to handle or come near the Torah. He will have all the aliyot and will perform Hagbah and Gelilah.
  •                         Individuals over the age of 65 or individuals with other health related risk factors are encouraged to consult their physician regarding the advisability of attending minyanim
  • No one with any symptoms of illness may attend - even if saying kaddish. Even after symptoms have ceased, please consult your physician before returning to minyanim.
  • Do not participate if you may have had recent contact with an individual who has COVID-19, even if you currently show no symptoms.
  • Immediately notify the shul if you develop any COVID-19 symptoms/concerns. Do not wait for more formal medical consultation and/or testing for confirmation. Do not attend minyanim until the symptoms and concerns are resolved, as determined by a competent medical professional.
  • Anyone attending the minyan agrees that if, chas veshalom, they are found to be COVID-19 positive, they give permission that all other minyan attendees or contacts will be notified of their COVID-19 positive status so appropriate contact tracing and quarantine can occur immediately.
  • Arrive and leave in a timely manner (preferably one by one) for the sole purpose of davening.
